Support Sojourners’ Place
At Sojourners’ Place, we depend on the generosity of people like you to make our mission possible. Every day, up to fifty homeless men and women find shelter, stability, and hope here at no cost to them. Your gift provides nutritious meals, safe housing, personalized case management, counseling, training, and the compassionate care our residents need to move toward independence. Thank you for your kindness and support.
Sojourners’ Place is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and monetary donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Volunteering & Internship
Alcohol and drug addiction is a major public health problem in America. The consequences are far-reaching and affect individuals, families, and society as a whole. Our program will provide an understanding of drug use, abuse and dependence and the related personal and social consequences. You will develop skills to provide therapeutic services for people dealing with substance abuse, with an emphasis on helping them maintain recovery and prevent relapse. As a graduate, you will be prepared for entry into the drug and alcohol counseling profession and/or to continue your education at a four-year institution to complete a bachelor’s degree. The Drug and Alcohol Counseling courses are accepted by the Delaware Certification Board and lead to partial fulfillment of the requirements for certification.
We are always looking for volunteers to help in various positions such as front desk, clerical, organizing food and clothing banks, special event planning, and many others.
Our volunteer hours are 9:00am – 6:00pm. If you would like to volunteer but aren’t available during these hours, CALL US ANYWAY! Call 302-764-4713 we will be happy to discuss other opportunities to help.

Sojourners’ Place goes through approx. 100 boxes of Laundry detergent every Three Months. Now that’s a lot of laundry! We are always looking for household items such as cleaning supplies, toiletry items (soap, toothpaste, etc), and paper goods (Toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, etc).
Hold a Work Campaign! Simply place a Box or Basket in your workplace and collect goods to help us provide for those less fortunate. As a reminder, their generous gift is tax-deductible and will be put into great use!
We will be more than happy to pick up these donations, just give us a call!
