Chef Dana Herbert is the owner of the multi-award-winning Desserts by Dana in Newark, Delaware, and the host of DATE NIGHT with Chef Dana. A nationally recognized pastry and culinary chef, Dana is known for his bold flavors, artistic desserts, and his philosophy: “Put the Love in the Pan.”
Chef Dana has cooked for and created custom desserts for some of the nation’s most well-known figures, including Oprah Winfrey, Vice President Joe Biden, Ice Cube, Michael Vick, Smokin’ Joe Frazier, Dick Vermeil, and Jimmy Rollins, among many others. He rose to national prominence after winning TLC’s Cake Boss: Next Great Baker and the Rachael Ray Celebrity Cake Off, and has appeared on TLC, Food Network, and The Cooking Channel. His accolades include being named one of the Top Ten Cake Designers in America, participating in the James Beard Celebrity Chef Tour, cooking at the James Beard House, and serving on the Macy’s National Culinary Council.
